RosettaNet Announces New Appointments within Executive Committee

Nokia, DHL Executives Enhance Business and Technical Expertise on Consortium’s Councils

RosettaNet announced today the appointments of Matti Heikkila, Vice President Strategy and Business Development at Nokia, as chairman of the RosettaNet Executive Committee and Bob Sartor, Director, Industry & Customer Programs at DHL, as vice-chairman. In these roles, Mr. Heikkila and Mr. Sartor will provide oversight and leadership to RosettaNet’s global councils.

 

RosettaNet is a consortium of more than 500 companies representing $1 trillion in annual revenues that create and implement industry-wide business process standards. RosettaNet is a subsidiary of GS1 US™, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the adoption and implementation of standards-based, global supply chain solutions.

Mr. Heikkila brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his new position at RosettaNet. Currently he works as Vice President for Strategy and Business Development at Customer and Market Operations in Nokia. Customer and Market Operations is responsible for marketing, sales, sourcing, manufacturing and logistics for mobile devices from Mobile Phones, Multimedia and Enterprise Solutions business groups globally. He served as an officer of RosettaNet’s Telecom Council where he helped drive standards initiatives throughout the telecommunications industry.

Mr. Sartor is the Director, Industry & Customer programs at DHL, the world’s leading express delivery and logistics company. He has nearly 30 years experience in IT and customer integration within the freight forwarding and logistics services industries. At DHL, Mr. Sartor directs the Industry & Customer Programs group. He is responsible for establishing, developing and fostering relationships with DHL’s customers with a specific focus on innovation in business process and information integration that contributes to top and bottom line revenues for DHL.
