Partner Press Release For Release May 13, 2005
South Portland, MA Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS) and Arrow Electronics (NYSE: ARW) have reduced the amount of time involved with their order management and quoting process by at least 50% through the implementation of RosettaNet standards. RosettaNet, through real-time, system-to-system communications, automates the exchange of information between Fairchild, the supplier and Arrow, the distributor. As a result, both companies will benefit with a more efficient and accurate supply chain, improved productivity and a faster response time for mutual electronic components customers.
"Arrow is committed to the implementation of RosettaNet standards worldwide," said Paul Katz, Arrow's vice president Global Supply Chain. "This joint deployment with Fairchild enables us to receive and respond to pricing opportunities and customer order requirements in real-time, providing our customers with the information they need quickly and efficiently."
"By delivering RosettaNet-based quoting with Arrow, we have strengthened our relationship, improved the flow of information, reduced the risk of error and saved Arrow valuable time to spend with customers," said Mark Norman, Fairchild's vice president, Worldwide Distribution.
"Fairchild is dedicated to continuing to be on the leading edge of full e-commerce implementation, from fielding requests for information through product design in and final sale. We also believe RosettaNet-based quoting demonstrates our commitment to superior customer service by offering services that make it easy to do business with Fairchild."
RosettaNet is a non-profit consortium of more than 500 world-leading organizations working to create, implement and promote open e-business standards and services. Fairchild continues to be committed to leveraging RosettaNet for design win registration, quoting and order management.
Fairchild recently showcased RosettaNet-based quoting with Wintech Microelectronics at the Global Partner Conference inBeijing, China.
