Partner Press Release
Peregrine Systems® to Get High-Tech Companies Connected With RosettaNet Ready™ Program
For Release
September 18, 2001
San Diego, CA --
Peregrine Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRGN), one of the world's leading software companies, today
announced support for the newly launched RosettaNet Ready™ Program, providing self-test tools and
services for high-tech companies to accelerate adoption and implementation of RosettaNet trading
and collaboration standards across the supply chain.
The RosettaNet Ready Program provides products and services that companies within the high
technology supply chain need to measure their own readiness and compliance with RosettaNet
standards. The program speeds development and adoption of RosettaNet-enabled products by delivering
readiness and development tools, compliance testing and product benchmarking -- driving integration
costs down and adoption rates up. The program fuels continued growth of an immense RosettaNet
trading network that encompasses both small and large enterprises.
"The level of support demonstrated by partners such as Peregrine is critical to the testing
and rollout of any new RosettaNet program or service," said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet.
"We are confident that, with the ongoing commitment of the Solution Provider community, the
RosettaNet Ready Program will serve to further promote and speed widespread adoption of RosettaNet
standards. By providing a mechanism for delivery readiness and development tools, compliance
testing and product benchmarking, the industry will see a significant payoff as we move toward
driving integration costs down."
Peregrine is a founding member of the RosettaNet Solution Provider Board and has been an
active participant in the creation and validation of the RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF)
2.0, used by major high-tech companies and their suppliers for integrating supply chain trading and
collaboration processes. Upon release of the RosettaNet Ready Program, Peregrine will enhance its
existing product functionality by integrating the available Developer Tools Library into their B2B
Relationship Management solutions. The developer tools will help provide a common benchmark
platform to measure adherence with the RNIF and Partner Interface Processes™ (PIPs®) and also
ensure compliance for future Peregrine e-business products and services.
"Peregrine actively supports RosettaNet and its goals to forge open standards," said Steve
Gaylor, AVP of Peregrine Worldwide Product Marketing. "To continually improve service levels for
the benefit of Peregrine's new and existing RosettaNet customers, the RosettaNet Ready Program
Developer Tools Library and Software Compliance Badges will signify our commitment to delivering
RosettaNet-compliant products, providing key validation services for RosettaNet initiatives on an
industry-wide basis."
Peregrine B2B Relationship Management solutions also support RosettaNet Milestone Programs
such as Product Information Exchange, RosettaNet Basics, Collaborative Forecasting, Design Win,
iHub, Order Management in Japan, Product Data Standard and Semiconductor Manufacturing, including
Work in Process (WIP).
