BEDFORD

For Release August 15, 2000

BEDFORD

SupplyWorks®, Inc., the leader in supply chain eProcurement solutions, today announced that it has joined the RosettaNet consortium as a Solution Partner to accelerate the implementation of standards for Web-enabled materials procurement and supply chain collaboration. RosettaNet is an independent consortium dedicated to advancing a set of common e-business interfaces, which form a multi-vendor language for aligning processes between supply chain partners on a global basis. SupplyWorks® MAX, the company's Web-based eProcurement solution for discrete manufacturers, will support the RosettaNet XML-based e-business process standards, demonstrating the Company's leadership among eProcurement vendors and its commitment to leading-edge standards.

"RosettaNet is rapidly developing standards to support effective supply chain collaboration across the Internet. By deploying SupplyWorks solutions based on these standards, our manufacturing customers can gain a competitive advantage," said Jeff Herrmann, president and CEO of SupplyWorks. "By seamlessly integrating the RosettaNet standards as they emerge, we can offer eProcurement applications that can be deployed faster and connect easily to more business entities, speeding the return on our customers' investments."

"The potential for extending RosettaNet standards into other supply chains, such as in the semiconductor manufacturing and mechanical manufacturing realms, is enormous," said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. "We welcome SupplyWorks and their eProcurement expertise to our organization."
