Menlo Park, CA -- SAQQARA Systems, a leading supplier of eCommerce systems for the electronics industry and a RosettaNet Architect Partner, announced that the company is pursuing "eReadiness" pilot projects for product information exchange based on RosettaNet Partner Interchange Process (PIP) content standards. As a RosettaNet partner, SAQQARA has been involved in the architectural design of RosettaNet vocabulary standards. SAQQARA is committed to implementing the RosettaNet PIP standards in pilot projects for product catalog exchange and aggregation across its customer base of electronics manufacturers and distributors. SAQQARA will extend these pilot projects to RosettaNet's forthcoming eConcert eCommerce transaction standards. "RosettaNet's 'infostructure' processes are key as the electronics industry evolves to serve the eCustomers' demand for real-time product information throughout the supply chain," said Sherif Danish, SAQQARA's Chief Technical Officer. Biography Sherif Danish Sherif is co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of SAQQARA Systems, a leading provider of high-end eCatalog management software and services. His extensive eCommerce experience results from multiple implementations at Fortune 500 companies such as AMP, Hewlett-Packard, Raychem, Honeywell, and AMD. He compiled several years of knowledge building in his book Building Database-Driven Web Catalogs, McGraw Hill, 1998. Sherif started his career at the IBM Scientific Center in Paris, France, developing a mainframe computer network. He then worked in IBM's sales organization for several years. He started his consulting company in Paris in 1979 before moving to the U.S. in 1982. He obtained a Ph.D. degree from the University of Paris and holds several U.S. patents. |
